In our project areas, there is limited government provided education and therefore school fees and associated costs like transport, books and uniforms are driving the need for higher incomes. Without education, young people have limited future job opportunities.
Most of the areas we work are battling with conflicts of interest. They need money to survive and prosper but also care about the forests and land that they live on. To develop a sustainable livelihood we are working on projects to offer alternative non-explotative methods of income to stop the temptation to opt for unsustainable practices; such as logging and overfishing.
Please find below the projects that we are working on currently in sustainable livelihood.
