Proposed fleet.Chris discusses the Islander 65 with James and Hanneke

OceansWatch plans to assemble a fleet of about 7 project lead yachts.  Our preference is for Wharram Islander 65's as they represent outstanding value for money, are able to carry a team of 10 and are a style of boat that communities in developing countries have an affinity for. These Catamarans will be built by Andy Smith's boatworks in the Philippines.

In addition to our own yachts OceansWatch has >100 members who own or are building their own yachts. Some of these yachts are available to help projects around the globe.

Donated Lead Boats

If you have a yacht that you would like to donate or loan to OceansWatch as a project lead boat, please contact us to discuss possibilities. We can offer a range of donation or lease options and your yacht will be maintained to exacting New Zealand Catagory 1 offshore standards by professionals.

If you would like to sponsor a Wharram Islander 65 lead boat with partnership benefits please contact us.
