Chris BoneCHRIS BONE: CEO, Project leader

Chris is a professional yacht skipper and runs a yacht delivery company- Pacific Yacht Deliveries. He has been an environmental activist for many years, including 2 years as a skipper for Greenpeace on the yacht Vega. His background also includes organic farming and consulting, and marine marketing consultancy.

Jane Pares

JANE PARES: Secretary, Media liaison & writer

Jane is a seasoned yachtswoman. She has sailed in Europe, the Pacific and around South America. Jane has organised aid missions as part of Raleigh International, worked for the Green Party in New Zealand and is a freelance yachting journalist. Janey shares her time between New Zealamnd and Tonga, where she runs a whale watching and diving company with Glenn Edney. Email: jane@oceanswatch.org

 

Julia Alabaster
JULIA ALABASTER: Financial administrator, Fundraising, education.

Julia’s background is in health, nutrition, education and small business. She is a trained Homeopath and Nutritionist with a B. Sc. in Physiology, an M. A. in Health Science and a Dip Ed. Julia is a competent sailor and qualified ReefCheck diver. Email: julia@oceanswatch.org

 

 

Peter Vine
PETER VINE: Marine consultant

Peter Vine’s career has encompassed life as a professional marine biologist, commercial fish farmer, freelance author of more than 20 books, and, for the last decade or so managing director of a multimedia publishing company (Trident Press Ltd. http://www.tridentpress.com). Peter has been sailing for over 50 years and keeps his yacht near his home in Connemara, Ireland.

 

 

 

Wade Doak

WADE DOAK, Marine Advisor

Together with his wife Jan, they have over one hundred years of underwater exploration and photography between them. Their generation was first to scuba dive and document the undersea world. Wade has eighteen books and multiple TV films on fishes, marine life, and South Seas exploration documentaries.   For sixteen years they edited and published the New Zealand "Dive Magazine

 

 

 

 

CEDRIC ALLAN

Auckland public relations consultant Cedric Allan has joined OceansWatch as
a trustee. He is an active yachtsman (shared ownership of the Ron Holland
Woolly Jumper) who has spent some time in the Islands, is well connected
with Auckland business, and is also a Trustee of the Motu Kaikoura Trust
restoring a 5,000 acre island off Great Barrier Island.
