OceansWatch is an all volunteer and donor funded organization.
We will be successful only with your involvement and your help.
Our mission is helping to preserve the ocean environments, reef systems, villages, schools and people living in maritime communities on islands and in coastal villages in developing countries, where the need for environmental sustainability and humanitarian aid is great, where there is little or no infrastructure and support services are lacking, where delivery by sailboat is the most efficient way to reach areas in need. Please Join us Donate and Volunteer to help in any amount or way you can.
Join OceansWatch North America
Join a global network of sailors, divers, environmentalists, students, academics, scientists, engineers, concerned citizens, aid workers, volunteers and people like you who want to help save the oceans and people who need it most. Your membership will help to provide supplies, materials, logistics and support for our projects in developing countries.
Volunteer
OceansWatch is entirely staffed and run by volunteers, people just like you who care about the marine environment and people whose lives are dependent upon it. We are a global network of sailors, divers, cruisers, boaters, yachtsmen, students, academics, scientists, engineers, aid workers and volunteers, working together to deliver knowledge, information, resources and aid on sailboats where it is needed most, to islands and coastal communities in developing countries where there is little or no infrastructure and support services are lacking. OceansWatch needs people like you to help here in the US, in our offices, in your schools, towns and cites, in your marina or club, on your boat, on our boats or on our members boats to help us organize and deliver aid on sailboats where it is needed most. Please join us in volunteering some of our time. Working together we can make a difference, and have fun in the process.

Donate to OceansWatch North America
OceansWatch is entirely supported by membership and donations from people like you who care about the environment, the oceans and people whose health and lives are linked to and very dependent upon healthy reefs and oceans.
You donations in any amount large or small will help establish Marine Protected Areas, monitor and mitigate threats to coral reef systems, provide clean water for drinking and sanitation, provide reading glasses, health care, education and other needed aid to islands and coastal communities in developing countries where we send project teams on sailboats.
Donate Goods and Services
Donating materials, supplies, goods and services in addition to financial support is a great way to help support people and the oceans on islands and coastal villages in developing countries where the need for aid and support is great and where OceansWatch members' yachts and project lead boats will deliver your donated items where they are needed most.
Donate you boat or car
Donating your old boat or car is a great way to support OceansWatch. You get a substantial income tax deduction and OceansWatch gets the benefit. Your old car, van or truck can either be used by OceansWatch volunteers to help with logistics of operations, or sold to provide funds to support our environmental and humanitarian aid projects. Sailboats, power boats, skiffs, tenders, yachts of any size, shape or condition can be donated to OceansWatch to support our programs. if you have a boat which you no longer need, consider donating it to OceansWatch and we will either maintain, refit and put it into service in our fleet of sailboats delivering volunteer teams and aid to our targeted project locations, or if it isn't suitable, we will take it off your hands, take responsibility for it, clean it up and get it ready to sell so that the value of the boat can be realized and put to use to do good work in the world where it is needed most.
