Info for Divers

Danika TagerJoining OceansWatch links you to a community of like minded divers, sailors and supporting academics who all work together to support our mission of undertaking worthwhile marine conservation projects and providing humanitarian aid to coastal communities in developing countries.

Joining OceansWatch will give you access not only to your fellow members but to a wide range of resources that we are developing to help you monitor and protect the marine ecosystem and those that rely on it.

As a member of OceansWatch you will have access to a growing list of organizations that sponsor us. Many of these organizations want to support us by supporting our members with discounts.

Our members library contains a growing range of educational resources developed in house or linked to 3rd party sources on pertinent subjects such as reef ecology, climate change and sustainable fisheries management. We are developing stuff for your kids too!

We provide training materials and seminars to upskill members on systems we have carefully evaluated that are scientifically robust yet can be easily undertaken either by members on their own or in support of our project lead yachts.

Through our forums you can communicate with OceansWatch yacht owning members so that you can be accommodated on projects that OceansWatch undertakes. Some of these projects will be in areas inaccessible without a yacht.

Membership also entitles you to come on the project lead yachts. We often need Dive Masters, PADI OWSI’s, PADI Reef Check. EcoDivers and other divers with complimentary academic qualifications.
